It’s hard to believe that I’ve been a hair stylist working at Edward Carriere for over 30 years now! But then again, this salon is not like any other. To be able to be a real team and work together like we do, is quite special. Our clients are a reflection of this “family“ concept as well. Because of this support, I’ve grown to understand what I love in what I do. And that is for certain, textured hair. Over the years I’ve realized that I absolutely love cutting curly to wavy hair. Long layers, bobs of all kinds, shags, and more shags! Lol
There’s something to be said about letting the hair guide me, and to watch things unfold organically. Basically, letting the hair and its natural movement lead me. I just want to free it in every possible way! Sure, I can follow the rules, but why? Curly and wavy hair has its own rules. And figuring that out is what makes it fun! Which brings me to my clients. I enjoy connecting with them, by listening and being real with them. I want my clients to feel at ease and comfortable. To know that we’re in it together; they are also what has made this journey of mine possible. And nothing makes my day better, than helping those who cross my path feel good about themselves.
